Eileen C. Knipe of Suffern, died September 27, 2010 at the age of 87. Born April 1, 1923 in New York, NY to Michael and Helen Brown. She later met and married Thomas E. Knipe. Eileen was a member of the Mahwah Elks, Ladies Auxiliary, Mahwah, NJ and American Legion Post 859, Ladies Auxiliary, Suffern, NY.
Eileen is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Thomas, loving children Colleen (Karl) Mueller and Katie (Daniel) Knipe-Rogosich, cherished grandchildren Frank (Dana) Rose, Karlie Mueller and Joseph Rogosich and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings Michael Brown, Mary Feldman, Alice Melay and Kathleen Warguska.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY with a funeral service on Friday, October 1, 2010 at the funeral home at 11:00AM. The interment will follow at Fred W. Loescher Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY.
