Elizabeth “ Betty” Tassone of Montebello, NY passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the age of 76. Betty was born to James and Elizabeth (Farrelly) Kiernan on March 2, 1940 in the Bronx, NY. She was a past parent member of the Council for Special Education at East Ramapo Central School District and a past board member of the YAI RCALD. Betty loved to try her luck at the Borgata in Atlantic City.
Elizabeth is survived by her beloved sons Frank Tassone II (Mira) and Robert Tassone, adored grandson Frank Joseph, cherished brother James Kiernan (Elizabeth), and by many nieces, nephews and friends. Betty was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Tassone in 2011.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2016 from 2-6PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 16, 2016 10AM at Church of the Presentation, Saddle River, NJ with burial to follow at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
