Giuseppina "Pina" Maietta

Pina was born to Carmine and Teresa (Ungaro) Caruso in Avella, Italy on March 29, 1960. She was married to Frank Maietta for 37 years and built their home and family together in Suffern where they lived since 1987. Pina enjoyed many things, but her true love was her family. She was the center of her family, the warmth that pulled everyone to her kitchen table, the light that drew everyone to her side. Pina sacrificed all she had to make sure her children and grandchildren would have a better life than she did, and she always did it with a smile and with no regrets. She gave because she loved, and we grieve because we loved her so in return. Life will not be the same without her, of this we have no doubt.

Pina is survived by her beloved husband Frank Maietta, cherished children Antonella Fasano (Chris), Sam Maietta (Stephanie), Teresa Maietta her adored grandchildren Luca and Frankie, her brother Tony Caruso (Patrizia), nephews Carmine and Anthony and parents Carmine and Teresa Caruso.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 2-4PM & 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Wednesday, May 27th, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with burial to follow Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
