James Searle of Tuxedo, NY, peacefully passed away at the age of 82 surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday evening, January 10, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. He is survived by his wife Nancy of 60 years, son and daughter-in-law Michael and Deborah, son Kenneth, and son Brian, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. James served in the Army from ’61-’64 and was a police officer in Suffern, NY; head of security in several local department stores; Detective of the Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and head of security at Saint Thomas Aquinas College in Sparkill, New York, serving the safety of the community. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital in Valhalla, New York. In loving memory from all his family, he will be missed. Thank you for your prayers.
