Janet Fryns Tamburro

Janet earned a Bachelor's degree from William Paterson University and a Master's degree from Ramapo College. She dedicated her career to teaching at Joyce Kilmer School in Mahwah, NJ. Janet was a devoted parishioner at Sacred Heart and a past member of the Mahwah Elks Ladies Auxiliary. She loved hosting family events and enjoyed playing Bocce, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, and Golf. Above all, she was a devoted and loving wife and mother.

Janet is survived by her husband, Vincent Tamburro; her son, Vincent E. Tamburro; her mother, Helen Fryns; her brother, Edward Fryns, along with his wife Kim; and her nieces, Jessica and Melanie.

Dear brother and sister-in-laws, Louis Tamburro and partner Rosemary Baughn, former wife Judy Tamburro, Patricia O'Shea and husband Mike, Gary Tamburro and wife Barbara, Victor Tamburro and wife Margaret, and Regina Parsells and husband, Pete. Janet is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. As well as a circle of beloved friends including Mary, Nadine, and Linda.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 5-9 pm at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 11:30 am, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Suffern, followed by entombment at Maryrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Sacred Heart Church.
