Joseph R. Domonkos

Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Paula (Harwood) Domonkos, cherished children Mary Carnevale and husband Gary, Julie Domonkos and husband Daniel Leffell, Joseph Domonkos and wife Catherine Chiarella Domonkos, Pamela Frederick and husband Charlie and Andrew Domonkos and wife Jennifer. Beloved Papa to Frank, Deborah, Asher, Antonio, Lucia, Charlie, Monica, Caroline, Drew, Jack and Avery.

Joseph was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School in New York City and attended the City College of New York. He retired after a lengthy career with the General Electric Company. He was a lover of the NY Mets and the NY Jets. He loved gardening, fishing, an ice cold martini, summers on Cape Cod, and spending time with his family. He was an ardent devotee of the NY Times crossword and enjoyed bringing birds to his backyard feeders.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 27 at 9:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with burial to follow at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
