Joyce Hilda Morris

Joyce Hilda Morris of Spring Valley, NY passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the age of 85. Joyce was born to the late John A. and Elsie (Blasberg) Krauss on April 2, 1935 in Fair Lawn, NJ. She later lived in Milton NY where she graduated from Marlboro High School and attended New Paltz University

Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter Morris in May 2002, by her brother Edwin Krauss, and by her grandson Billy Nodelman. She is survived by her caring children Walter Alan Morris, Robert J. Morris, and Janet Morris, adored grandchildren Robert Nodelman, Katie Morris, Emily(Morris) Robinson, Kalista (Morris) Battaglia, Mike Morris, and Wally Morris, and great grandchildren Travis Nodelman and Brooke Robinson

Joyce was a life member of the Monsey Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a life member of the Fred Eller American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Joyce was an avid gardener, where she won several awards for her gardening talents. She truly enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in sporting events. Joyce & Walt enjoyed vacationing in Maine for many years and as a child Joyce was able to visit every state in the continental US by car including several road trips to Alaska.

Services for Joyce will be private. The family hopes to hold a celebration of her life at a later date. Service under the direction of Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home.
