2 Corinthians 5:6-8
Marie Augustin gained her wings on the night of Sept 6, 2023. She was born to Nezelia Voltaire -Augustin and Michel Augustin in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. She married the late Jean Juliot Carmand on March 23, 1955, they had seven daughters and then she emigrated to Spring Valley, NY in 1980.

She was a firm believer in self-sufficiency and in the power of voting in her local elections, she took immense pride in that. Marie was an excellent cook, she enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying new recipes.
Marie had an unwavering commitment to her seven children. She had an authoritative and loving parenting style. She was extremely nurturing, caring, easy to talk to, loving and was always willing to learn from her children as well. She set the example when it came to being a homemaker, wife, mother, and a good friend.
She is survived by six loving children, Annemasse Etienne, Annecie Morisseau, Annie Labbe, Anne Carmand - Vixamar, Betty Carmand and Sierpienne Carmand-Brown. Marie was preceded in death by her daughter Annette Carmand-Exalus.
