

Mark Hlovatsky, beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away far too soon, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength. He was born on November 12, 2013, in Livingston, New Jersey, to his devoted parents, Yuriy and Yuliya (née Bura) Hlovatsky.
Mark is survived by his loving parents, Yuriy and Yuliya Hlovatsky; his adoring brothers, Daniel and David Hlovatsky; his caring grandmothers, Nina Bura and Taisia Boyko; and many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory forever.
Mark was an exceptionally bright and intelligent young boy with a gentle and loving spirit. He was a devoted and caring older brother who took great pride in helping and guiding his younger brother. His kind heart and willingness to support those around him made a lasting impact on everyone he knew.
Though initially shy when meeting new people, Mark quickly formed deep and meaningful friendships once he opened up. His warmth, sincerity, and loyalty made him a treasured friend to many.
Mark had a passion for sports, especially soccer and swimming, where he demonstrated both talent and dedication. He was an excellent student in the 7th grade at Felix Festa Middle School and also attended the Ukrainian School of Spring Valley. He loved reading and was known for his organization and strong work ethic. Mark was also accomplished in Ukrainian folk dancing, embracing his heritage with pride and enthusiasm.
In addition to his many talents, Mark had a love for cooking and was especially known for his breakfasts - his waffles were a favorite among his brothers and brought joy to family mornings.
Above all, Mark was a happy and loving soul whose bright blue eyes and beautiful smile could light up any room. His presence brought comfort, joy, and warmth to those around him, and he will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on April 11, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship, 384 New Hempstead Rd #1323, New City, NY 10956, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m.
Burial will take place at 4:00 p.m. on April 11, 2026, at Holy Spirit Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, 141 Sarah Wells Trail, Cambell Hall, NY 10916.
Mark’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
