

She was born in moustique, Haiti, on March 22, 1945, to Sèvere Belizaire and Helen Augusma. In 1998, she moved to the United States from Port-de-Paix, Haiti, working as a merchant. A stroke struck her shortly after she arrived in the US at age 55. In 2012, she suffered another stroke and became severely disabled. Despite being ill for such a prolonged period, her outlook on life remained positive. In addition to her love for cooking and decorating, she was a devoted mother and grandmother
She is survived by her children Jean Hippias, Myladie and Jorgio Auguste, her grandchildren Schneider, Andrew and Matthew Belizaire, Gianna Hippias, Dave and Maïley Casimir, Jeremiah and Jaden Auguste, and her sisters Vasamise Louis XVI, Elida Guerrier and Melucienne Augusma, her nieces Rosanne Antoine, Angela Laguerre, Carolde Étienne, Betty Saint-fort, Nerline sistrat, Sandra and Caline Belizaire, Linda Knowles, Norma Guerrier, and her nephews Landry Belizaire, Rodney, and Johnny Guerrier
A visitation (please adhere to all nys doh mask requirements) for Nevita will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, New York 10901. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St Joseph's Church, 245 N Main St, Spring Valley, New York 10977. An entombment will occur Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Ascension Cemetery, 650 Saddle River Rd., Airmont, New York 10952.
