It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert A. Cardillo, age 90, on January 10, 2026. Born in Argentina to the late Peter and Adelina Cardillo, Robert’s life was defined by his unwavering dedication to his family and his hard work.
Robert met and married his beloved wife, Lilia, in Argentina. Together, they had a son, Robert Jr. His journey brought him to the United States, where he moved alone to assist his aunt, eventually bringing his family to join him six months later. This move, fueled by his love and determination to provide for those he cared for, was one of the many sacrifices he made in his life.
A man of great work ethic and integrity, Robert spent his life providing for his loved ones. His family was the center of his world, and he always put their needs first. He is survived by his son, Robert Cardillo; daughter, Diana Cardillo; and grandson, Curtis Alan Robert Smith.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his cherished wife Lilia Cardillo, and his brothers Francisco and Elido Cardillo.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at The Church of the Presentation, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Burial will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
In his passing, Robert leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
