Anna was born on September 24, 1935 to George and Nellie Masters in Cobb, KY. She grew up in Clarksville, TN with her siblings June and Blane where she graduated from Clarksville High School in 1951 at the age of 16. In 1955, she graduated from The Nashville General Hospital School of Nursing. Anna went on to have a distinguished nursing career, taking a break for a brief stint to become a business woman and owned several Merle Norman stores in the greater Houston area. She once again returned to nursing, finishing her career at OB/GYN Associates in the Medical Center.
Her interests included, gardening, reading, sewing, and watching her grandchildren grow up. She loved the beach and always looked forward to her yearly trip to Galveston, TX with her girlfriends. Her love of dogs was evident as she always spoiled her grand-dogs whenever they came to visit.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jorge Garza; son Kirk Robinson of Tennessee; daughter Sherra Maneri and husband John of New Braunfels; and son Jorge Garza and wife Patricia of Sugar Land. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, whom she adored; Jeremy (wife Bretta) Robinson, Jarred Robinson, Alyssa (husband Joshua) Rolfe, Kylie (husband Matthew) Nesloney, Jaclyn Maneri, Sarah Garza, Jacob Garza, and Kathryn Anne Garza. She also leaves behind two beloved great grandchildren, Reese and Sutton Nesloney.
She is preceded in death by her parents George Masters and Nellie Blane, sister, June Ferguson, and brother, Blane Masters.
A celebration of Anna’s life will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 1pm at The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
