Benjamin James Silas

BENJAMIN JAMES SILAS, age 15, born February 1, 1999, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014, in a tragic car accident near his home in the New Territory sub-division. Ben is in Heaven looking down to help his father and mother to raise his little sister.

Ben was a sophomore at Stephen F. Austin High School. He was a very kind and caring person to all he met and made everyone he came into contact with feel special.

Ben grew up playing many sports and was active in little league baseball for many years, celebrating his first home run on October 30, 2010. He played football at Sartartia Middle School, and exercised, lifted weights, and played basketball at “The Club”. Ben enjoyed his dirt bike and spent entire days riding on the “trails”.

Ben’s passion was fishing and hanging-out with his best friends, Gabriel, Zac, and Matt, creating a bond as brothers. He loved playing with his little sister, giving her a hard time, joking and teasing with her, and always giving her big hugs and kisses.

Ben leaves his father, James; mother, Mae; and little sister, Abegail.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, November 29, 2014, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, with the Rev. Drew Wood, Celebrant.
