BETSY GUSSIE EDWARDS SNYDER, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012, at the age of 90. She was the only child of Lovelace and Inez Ralston Edwards, born the 24th of April, 1922, in Tempe, Arizona. She married Otis William Cotton Snyder in August of 1941. He preceded her in death. Betsy was a long time member of Messiah Lutheran Church. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Brandom and her husband Cary, and Cindy Snyder; grandchildren, Julie Shaw Brandom, John Brandom and his wife Kelly, and Austin Snyder; great-granddaughter, Skylar Shaw; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Tyler Brandom.
Friends are invited to a visitation with the family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 816 Roy St., Houston, TX 77007, with Pastor Richard Schuller, officiating.. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Betsy’s memory may be made to the general fund at Messiah Lutheran Church.
