EMMA RUTH FINLEY, 91, passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Stafford, TX. She graduated from Texas Tech University with a BA in English. Emma worked for several years as a teacher, until becoming a wife and mother. She enjoyed her involvement in Encore, Republican Woman, and many Methodist church activities. Emma is survived by her sons, Ron Finley and Randy Finley; daughter, Marsha Zahn; niece, Lindy Stafford; nephew, Andy Armstrong; grandchildren and their spouses, Stacey and Kevin Maris, Jennifer and Jason Little, Stephanie Shawn and Peyton Langford, Jenilee and Russell Finley; and great-grandchildren, Katie and Abbie Little, Taylor, Sarah and Zach Maris, Nathan and Grayson Langford, and Lila Mae Finley. A Celebration of Emma’s life will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, April 6, 2013, at The Terrace at First Colony, Sugar Land, TX, with Rev. Mike Mayhugh, of Christ United Methodist Church, Sugar Land, Officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Ave, Waco TX 76708.
