

Marjorie Ann Russell passed away surrounded by Family at her home in Sugar Land Texas on December 28th, 2020 at the age of 86. Marjorie was born on the 21st of October, 1934 in Fort Sumner New Mexico in her parents’ home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl C. Wilson and Marjorie Valentine Wilson also by her Husband Jack Edward Russell and her brother Keith Charles Wilson.
She is survived by her children William (Keith) Russell and Marjorie Valentine (Missy) Stewart and her grandchildren Bryce Russell, Sarah Russell, Valerie Stewart, Johnathan Stewart, and Hannah Johnson. Also, by her six Great Grandchildren Eden, Bowen, Annabelle and Grace Russell and Michal and Elias Johnson.
She graduated from New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas New Mexico in 1956 with a degree in Education and a minor in Biology. She was a proud to have been a cheerleader, worked her way through college and graduated in four years. She worked as a teacher, fulltime mom, then settled into a career as a realtor followed by full time grandmother and great grandmother.
She outlived her body but due to her tenacious spirit she hid her illness well. She never wanted anyone to know she was in pain or uncomfortable. We all would ask how is Mom? The answer was “Tough but wobbly”. She was determined to not die in a hospital and stayed in her own home way longer than any doctor thought possible. She accomplished her goal passing in her room surrounded by people who loved her and her dog Freddy.
She was a strong woman, fiercely loyal to her family, there for her friends, she will be missed and loved by all.
