Becky was born June 8th, 1973, in Wharton, TX to Roger Lane Prichard and Betty Sue Franklin. Becky called Lake Jackson her hometown and developed many strong bonds with friends at school, in sports, or in attending First Assembly of God church in Clute, TX. She often joked that she couldn’t get away with anything in Lake Jackson because she was related to or neighbors with so many of her classmates or teachers.
Becky moved to Austin, TX to attend college and during a chance phone call while working a temp job in 1995 was introduced to Brian, “a guy in the New Jersey office,” who was blessed beyond measure to become her husband for the next twenty-eight years. Although the experts once told her she’d never have kids, she was so proud to be “momma” to Brinna (21), Braelyn (16) and Dean (15) and was passionate about instilling strong values, caring hearts and enduring faith in her children. Her dedication has led to 16 years of homeschooling. In 2012, along with some key friends, Becky founded the first American Heritage Girls troop in Sugar Land, Troop 1378, forging strength of character, community, and lifelong friendships between Christian girls and between their parents. Becky has been a “Dance Mom” for an equally long time. She worked tirelessly organizing fundraisers, making props and costume hair pieces, or supervising backstage during performances.
Becky’s incredible ability to create strong bonds with like-minded people, her desire to hold everyone to a high standard of love, and her compassion for our senior citizens led her to start Homewatch CareGivers of Sugar Land in 2019 where she has been the Chief Care Officer and CEO. She loved the business, the clients, and the caregiving team like her own family.
Becky’s faith was central to her life, and she was unashamed to publicly apply Christian values to the business plan or operations; but more importantly, she used her interactions to lead others towards or further along a Christian journey.
Becky is survived by her husband, Brian; her children Brinna, Braelyn, and Dean; her father, Roger Prichard; mother, Betty Franklin; stepfather, Steve Franklin; siblings, Tina Prichard Lewallen (Lew), Terri O’Kelly (George), Breana Prewitt (Brete) and Garett Franklin (Linsi); uncle, Clyde-Wayne Oliver (Pam); aunts, Rosie Blair, Bonnie Trammel and Louise Hart; and many cousins, in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepmother Debbye Haynes Prichard.
