

Spencer James Simmons, 21, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away February 10, 2014, as a result of injuries suffered in an accident in 2007. Spence was born in Houston on August 24, 1992, to parents Brent and Bonnie Bozeman Simmons.
Prior to his accident, Spence was active in basketball, football, track and especially soccer.
Spence’s unique and vibrant personality matched his red hair and sparkling blue eyes.
Spence is survived by his parents, Brent and Bonnie; his brother; Lane; grandmothers, Lola Simmons of Vidor, TX, and Lanelle Bozeman of Lumberton, TX; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Spence was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Robert Simmons and J. H. Bozeman and uncle, Robert Eric Simmons.
A Visitation is being held on Thursday, February 13, 2014, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). Funeral Services are being held Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 1:00 PM, at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 4955 Pine St., Beaumont, TX 77703, with burial to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Spence’s name be made to Memorial Hermann Lifeflight or to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support through the years.
