Virginia Grinaker

Virginia attended Rice University and the University of Texas, and she volunteered with the USO during WWII. She married Robert Grinaker in 1945, and was a devoted wife and mother throughout her life. Though she did some professional office work at various times, her true vocation was care giving. She had a servant heart, quietly taking care of many who crossed her path over the years.

Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; son, John; and brother, Jack. She is survived by daughters, Carol, Nancy and Linda; grandchildren, Jenny and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Cody, Cooper, Cailin, and Chase; sister, Ann; and brother, Jim.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2011, in the Chapel at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 3471 Westheimer Rd., Houston, with the Rev. Tom Pace, officiating.
