He was born in Sulphur and lived in Carlyss. He trained horses and taught children to ride and rodeo.
Survivors include his parents, Ben and Geneva Ferguson of Carlyss; two sisters, Cherie Otis of Moss Bluff, and Lori Vincent of Sulphur; two brothers, David Ferguson of Gloster, LA, and Eddie Ferguson of Greeley, CO.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Rev. Maurice Serice will officiate. Interment will be in Farquhar Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 8:30 a.m. until service time.
