Carolyn Sue Lyons

She was a native and lifelong resident of Hackberry until she moved to Sulphur five years ago. Carolyn enjoyed fishing and crabbing, cooking, listening to music, dancing, reading, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Chester Lyons of Sulphur; her son, Chris Spicer and wife, Donna of Sulphur; her grandchildren, Christopher Spicer (Angie), Nathalie Spicer, Jessica Lamb, and John Dyson; and great-grandchildren, Lane, Dalen, Morgan, and Wyatt Spicer, Cameron Ancelet, Hayden Brattain, Joyelle Cormier, and Chloe, Gavyn, and Asher Lamb.

A Celebration of Carolyn's Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Hixson's Celebrant, Jody Tyler. Burial will be in Hackberry Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tommy Lamb, Chris Spicer, Christopher Spicer, Glynn Perrodin, James Hebert, Christopher McGowan, and Richard Mathieu.
