He was a native and lifelong resident of Carlyss where he was a rice farmer his entire life.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Beverly Denton of Carlyss; three children, Denise Miller of Carlyss, Scotty Hudson of Sulphur, and Douglas Denton of Carlyss; seven grandchildren, Blaine Miller, Lauren Thompson, Abby LeJeune, Jesse Hudson, Rebecca Doyle, Justin Denton, and Katy Denton; and two great-grandchildren, Parker Thompson and Charleigh Thompson.
