Hello.  I have been thinking of Uncle Pie often over the years.  He was so very kind and enthusiastic about his business.  My grandfather was Wilbert Wilder- the man who leased the building and I have such fond memories of hanging out there and buying candy and speaking with he and his wife as a child.  If anyone ever could publish his recipie for hot tamales the world would be a much happier place for continuing this much beloved dinner tradition.   Thank You so much and we'll miss him terribly.

Heaven gained a new angel and that's surely what he is now. Loved him so much. I have some awesome memories of working summers and holidays, making tamales and boudain with him, Michelle and Judy. I'm sorry for your loss. I will be praying for y'all.
