Born and raised in Westlake, she made Sulphur her home for many years before moving to DeQuincy three years ago. She cherished the simple joys in life, especially the warmth of the morning sun and the peaceful moments spent on the beach. Connie's love for classic TV shows like "I Love Lucy", "The Andy Griffith Show", and "Leave It To Beaver" was a reflection of her timeless charm and light-hearted spirit.
Above all, Connie was a caretaker at heart, always putting the needs of her loved ones first. A beloved mother, sister, and friend, she will forever be remembered for her kind heart, her love of the outdoors, and her dedication to family.
Survivors include her sons, Jonathan Trahan of DeQuincy and Robert Trahan of Coushatta; her sisters, Judy Martin and husband, Edward of Westlake, and Jocelyn Miller of Moss Bluff. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leon Richard and Letha Mae Jorgensen.
A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, February 16 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, led by Hixson's Celebrant, Jody Tyler. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
