Curtis James Vice, 70, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was born to his late parents, Ludren Vice and Lillie Belle Romero Vice on October 20, 1951 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Curtis lived in Sulphur most all of his life. He served in the United States Army from 1968-1971 as an active Sergeant in the Vietnam War. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed various activities with his children and grandchildren. Curtis was an avid Dallas Cowboys, Houston Astros, and LSU fan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rita Babineaux Vice; children, Christy Vice Wynn (Jody) of Deridder, Louisiana, Gaylin Vice Habetz (Alois) of Sulphur, Louisiana, Candis Vice Duhon (Dusty) of Sulphur, Louisiana, Scotty Vice (Stacy) of Katy, Texas; eight grandchildren, Cody Wynn, Toby Wynn (Cassie), Colby Wynn, Justin Habetz, Keelie Habetz, Dayton Duhon, Laney Duhon, Aydan Vice; two great grandchildren, Brayden Tougaw, Emma Wynn; two brothers, Wayne Vice (Loretta) and Dennis Vice; two sisters, Gerry Vice Toscino (Ray), and Karen Vice Sandifer (Michol); along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Curtis is preceded in death by his parents; along with one sister, Marlene Vice Doyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur, Louisiana on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 10:00 am, with Father Eddie Richard officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, October 7, 2022, from 5:00 pm until 8:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, from 8:00 am until the procession to the church. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Louisiana.
