

Debbie was a loving wife of nearly 43 years and an exceptional mother who raised her family in Hackberry. She valued the true meaning of family and with Debbie family always came first. She enjoyed being outside caring for her many plants, flowers, and fruit trees. Her real passion was spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by everyone who’s life she touched.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Whitney Drounett, Sr of Sulphur; a daughter, Christina Blanchard and husband, Chad of Moss Bluff; a son, Whitney Drounett, Jr. and wife, Ashley of Ragley; parents, Dorothy and Leamul Willis of Moss Bluff; five grandchildren, Seth Blanchard, Maggie Blanchard, Kayden Drounett, Logan Drounett, and Brynlie Drounett; a sister, Gail Graham of Moss Bluff; two brothers, Robert Willis of Oklahoma and Steve Willis of Moss Bluff; three brothers-in-law, Roland Drounett and wife, Connie, Van Drounett, and Kenneth Drounett all of Lake Charles; four sisters-in-law, June Terziu, Judie Page, Esther Herring, and Lori Drounett all of Lake Charles; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Reverend Bino Francis, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hackberry Community Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2017 with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will resume from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
