She was a native of Orange, Texas, and a longtime resident of Sulphur. Debra was a proud graduate of the Jake Drost School and worked at The Boiling Point for many years. She loved participating in the Special Olympics, activities at the CARC Activity Center, and dances for children with special needs. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, watching wrestling and classic TV shows, and cheering for her favorite team, the Atlanta Braves. Debra loved her family deeply and shared a special bond with her cousins, Yvonne Jacobs and Paula McCarthy. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to have known her.
Survivors include her mother, Edna Faye Hebert; and brother, Randy Hebert, both of Sulphur; a special niece, Lanie Johnston and her son, George; and her Godchildren, Ashley McCarty Bartek and Amanda Duhon Molitor. She is preceded in death by her father, Honora Hebert, Jr.
A Celebration of Debra's Life will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, November, 3 in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Hixson's Celebrant, Jody Tyler. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the time of service Monday in the funeral home.
