

He was a lifelong Sulphur resident and a charter member of Houston River Baptist Church. Earl served his country in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. He was a welder for Olin Chemicals and retired in 1985 after 39 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, taking care of his property, tending to his goats and working in his shop.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Stella Bunch; son, Earl Bunch, Jr. and wife Patsy of Sulphur; brothers, Myron Bunch and wife Polly of Sulphur, Gene Bunch and wife Betty of Houston, and Olan "Buddo" Bunch of Marcantel Settlement; seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Billy Bunch; grandson, Earl DeWayne Bunch; brother, Nolan Bunch; and sisters, Olla Mae Dietz and Mildred Walker.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 14 in Houston River Baptist Church. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will follow in Big Woods Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 - 8 p.m. Sunday in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home and resume at 9 a.m. Monday in the church.
