Georgia was a dedicated nurse for many years and loved serving the patients at DeQuincy Memorial Hospital, where she was a member of the staff. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents Douglas and Ethea Bond and her brother Connie Douglas Bond. She is survived by her three children; Valarie Golden of Longville, La., John Golden of Lake Charles, La., and Vanessa Landry of Sulphur, La.; three grandchildren; Jonathan Parker, Jennifer Parker and Jarrin Parker; two great grandchildren, Killian Guidry and Brooklynn Parker; and numerous people she lovingly "adopted" as her family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 28, 2012 in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Dr. Geoffrey Britt will officiate . Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in DeQuincy, La. Vistitation is from 3-9 pm on Thursday at the funeral home and resuming on Friday from 9 am till time of service.
