Gerald Frederick was a native of Vinton, La who worked as a Millwright at Olin Chemical for over twenty years. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening with his wife. Gerald was a loving father, grandfather, and will be missed greatly.
Survivors include his two sons, Daniel Frederick and wife, Jennifer; Joshua Frederick and wife, Amber; four granddaughters, Lauren, Taylor, Kylie and Haley; seven brothers, Ricky, Jimmy, Denis, John, Paul, Thomas, and Damien Frederick; five sisters, Phyllis Steelman, Mary Frederick, Lisa Fontenot, Shelia Douga, and Julie Berry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cherie Frederick, parents, Reaux and Dolly Frederick, and two brothers, Roger and Robert Frederick.
Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Chapel with Jody Barrilleaux officiating. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
