Glenda, affectionately known as “Dundee,” was born in Jasper, Texas, and raised in Sulphur, La. She spent many years as a resident of Baton Rouge, La before eventually returning to the Lake Charles, La area. A proud graduate of Sulphur High School, Glenda was a warrior and a woman of strong faith, having been baptized at Olivet Baptist Church and later at First Pentecostal Church of Baton Rouge.
Throughout her early career, Glenda worked as an executive secretary at Muller’s Department Store in Lake Charles, served in administration at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital, and later held positions with Piccadilly and Walmart in Baton Rouge. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including shopping, cheering on LSU football, taking care of her beloved furbabies, “John Boy” and “Kristy”, and, most importantly, spending time with her beloved family and friends.
Survivors include her siblings, Melba Pulliam and husband, Lynn of Sulphur, Lynette Lewis of Moss Bluff, Dennis Daniels of DeQuincy, and Lennis Daniels of Sulphur; her aunt, Sherry Gault; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Marie Daniels.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Pastor Jerod Grissom of First Pentecostal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from noon until the time of service Thursday in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Dylan Daniels, Matthew Hunter, Cody Lewis, Chase Burgess, Gunnar Burgess, and Nick Algero. The family would like to thank the staff of Landmark of Lake Charles as well as Brighton Bridge Hospice for their excellent care of Glenda.
