Mrs. Irene had been a resident of Sulphur for over 60 years and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church since 1968. She volunteered at the church in numerous capacities from decorating to caring for their plants. She is known in other circles as "The Plant Lady" or "The Lady in Purple". She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend to anyone she met.
Those left to cherish her memories are a daughter, Ellen Albair; sons, Pete Davison, Robert Davison and wife, Ronda; six grandchildren, LeAnna, Daniel, James, Travis, Shannon, and Janice; a great-granddaughter, Sierra; a great-great-granddaughter, Reagan; a sister, Glenda Foreman and husband, Douglas; a brother, Preston Foreman and wife, Dot; many nieces and nephews; Her beloved Father Guilbeau, special friends, Myrna Ogea, Raye Ann Swarts, Pat Billadeaux; and many others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nolan, sons, Jeffery and Brian, grandson, Kevin, brother, Dalton Foreman, and her parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Sulphur. Burial will follow in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
