

Deanie lived in Sulphur since 1970, and was a Lake Charles native. She was born August 28, 1938. She attended Parkview Baptist Church. Deanie was a very active and well loved member of Alcoholics Anonymous. She enjoyed glass collectibles, antiques, jewelry and travel. She also enjoyed fishing as well as spending time with her family. She owned the Tanya Salon and Dress Boutique. She was a former Miss Marion High School of 1955, as well as Homecoming Queen and Miss Cal-Cam.
Survivors include her sons Joseph Anthony Regan and his wife Kimberly, of Picayune, Mississippi, and James David Regan and his wife Lori, of Humble, Texas; brothers, Gilmer Duhon and wife Fay, of Sulphur, and Rodney Duhon and wife Mary Alice, of Lake Charles; sister Del Guillory and husband Herman, of Lafayette; grandchildren, Meloni, Jennifer, Joseph, Jonathan, Anthony, Brittany, Jeremy and Dallas; and 12 great grandchildren with 1 on the way.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph James Regan and L.R. “Bob” Kounter; and parents, Jesse James and Hilda Duhon.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 24, in Parkview Baptist Church. The Rev. Randall Chesson will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, and from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of service at the church.
