She was a native of Vashti, Texas and had been a resident of Sulphur for over 50 years. Jimmie was a member of Henning Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her sons, James "Rusty" Carr and wife, Cindy of Sulphur and Herby Kent Carr and wife, Patty of Wichita Falls, Texas; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Carr.
A gathering of friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Saturday, May 18, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Texas. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
