Affectionately known as "Joansie," she was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, and lived most of her life in Sulphur. A 1965 graduate of LaGrange High School and Sowela Tech, Jo Ann cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Hughes Mayon and husband Michael; grandchildren Brock Landry (fiancée Olivia), Taylor Rochelle Bertles (husband Brett), Shannon Bradbury (wife Lauren); and great-grandson, Beckham Gray. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Jim Hughes; her daughter, Julie Hughes; her parents, Leroy Lognion and Pauline Haney Lognion; and her siblings, Leroy Lognion and Renee Lognion.
A private memorial service will be held by her family. The family would like to thank Dr. Micah LeLeux and staff, and Elara Caring Nurses for their compassionate care of Jo Ann.
