John Eugene Barrios

He was a native and longtime resident of Lake Charles and had been a resident of Sulphur for the last 10 years. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, listening to music (especially Elvis Presley), and impersonating Elvis at family gatherings.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Ruth Y. Barrios of Sulphur; his daughter, Tammy Barrios (Stephen LeBlanc) of Sulphur; his siblings, Louella Gailord of Sulphur, Peggy Higginbotham of Lake Charles, Scott Barrios of Winnemucca, Nevada, and Elaine Ralph of Fernley, Nevada; three grandchildren, Samuel George, Shelbee Console, and Evan Barrios; and three great-grandsons, Cooper Console, Cade Console, and Garon George. He is preceded in death by his parents, John David Barrios and Lucy Cecilia Naquin Barrios; and a son, Shannon Barrios.
