

John Lester Perry, 83, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on December 16, 2025. He was born to his late parents, John and Corrine Perry on January 14, 1942 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. He was a Barber for many years in the Sulphur, Lake Charles, Hackberry, and Vinton areas. John was a Master Woodworker, loved rv camping and fishing, and he also owned and operated his own christmas tree farm. John and his wife Alice enjoyed together a quilting business for a number of years. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Lisa Kuklies and husband Robert of Freeport, Texas, Cynthia Gillard and husband Tinnie of Hemphill, Texas, and John Eric Perry and wife Carolyn of Sulphur, Louisiana; one brother, Charles Perry and wife Frances of Lake Charles, Louisiana; one sister, Geraldine Fontenot of Vinton, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Garret Gillard, Blair Riley, Brennen Gillard, and Tyler Perry; along with two great grandchildren, Grayson Gillard and Jolene Gillard.
John is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Perry.
A Celebration of John's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 1:00 pm, with Rev. Jo Ann Cooper officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be at Dutch Cove Cemetery in Sulphur, Louisiana.
