

She was a native of Edgerly and lived in Sulphur for over 20 years. Josephine was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur. She enjoyed word search puzzles, church activities, and spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include her son, Leroy "Lee" Thibodeaux and his girlfriend, Diana Powell of Sulphur; three daughters, Betty Sue Patin and husband, Raymond of Vinton, Betty Lou Willis and husband, Larry of Lake Charles, and Jo Ann Thibodeaux and husband, Gary of Edgerly; one sister, Verna Phillips of Sulphur; 12 grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by five sisters, Vivian Cormier, Nora Gills, Margaret Whatley, Melena Phillips, and Donatile Cormier; and two brothers, Emile Cormier and Howard Cormier.
Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 14, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Revs. W.T. Darnell and Arvin Harrell will officiate. Burial will be in Big Woods Cemetery in Edgerly. Visitation is from 5 - 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday in the funeral home.
