Katherine Elaine Gary

She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur before moving to Dequincy. Katherine worked for many years as a security guard for Allied Universal. She enjoyed working puzzles, playing cards and Yahtzee, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she absolutely adored.

Survivors include her children, Vicki Cooley and husband, Matt of Sulphur and Art Valencia of Amity, Oregon; her siblings, David Ravia, Jr of Dayton, Oregon, Larry Ravia and wife, Cathy of Ragley, Susan Vincent and husband, Donnie of Dequincy; and Linda Terro and husband, Chris of Sulphur; six grandchildren, Seth Valencia, Skyla Valencia, Gaven Theriot, Brayden Theriot, Belen Cooley, and Trait Cooley; and her beloved dog, Scooter. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Betty Ravia; her brother, Michael Wayne Ravia; and her nephew, Raymond Wayne Ravia.

Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 24, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Holts will officiate. Burial will be in Farquhar Cemetery in Sulphur.
