She was a native of Kinder, raised her family in Westlake and had been a resident of Sulphur for several years. She was a faithful member of Crossroads Church in Moss Bluff. She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed sewing, reading and music.
Survivors include her children, Angel Duncan and husband, Chris of Sulphur, Vernon Squibb and wife, Melanie of Kinder, and Kevin Squibb and wife, Neecie of Hooks, Texas; her daugthter-in-law, Monica Squibb of Sulphur; brother, Ken Chapman of Sulphur; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Lyle Squibb; and siblings, Margariet Fontenot, Thomas Chapman, and Sherman Chapman; and a grandson.
A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, October 14, at Crossroads Church in Moss Bluff. The Rev. Terry Ardizzone will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until the time of service in the church. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
