He was a native of Sulphur and a longtime resident of Westlake. Lanny enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at Toledo Bend.
Survivors include three daughters, Bridgett Hendricks of Shelton, Washington, and Sherri and Lindsay Campbell, both of Westlake; three sons, Ray Campbell of Houston, Texas, Jeremy Burns of North Carolina, and Jayce Campbell of Westlake; one brother, Monty Campbell of DeQuincy; and four grandchildren, Gabe Martinez, Katie Burns, Michael Burns, and Aubrey Campbell. He is preceded in death by his parents, C.C. and Boots Campbell; and a brother, Garland Campbell.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 16, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Visitation is from 2 p.m. until the time of service Saturday in the funeral home.
