Lavada M. LaFleur

She was a native of Allen Parish and has resided in the Sulphur area for over 41 years where she pastored alongside her husband. She was a nurse and had worked at West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital. Mrs. LaFleur loved cooking and adored her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two sons, Larry LaFleur and his wife, Janie, of Sulphur and Keith LaFleur and his wife, Connie, of Galveston, Texas; five grandchildren, Rick, Jody, Keri, Lynsey and Stephanie; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Rev. Wiley J. LaFleur; and sister Agnes McCuller.

Funeral service for Mrs. LaFleur will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. Reverends Larry and Rick LaFleur will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery North. Visitation will be held 5 - 9 p.m. on Wednesday and will resume 9 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
