A Hackberry native, Curly has resided in Sulphur for over 30 years. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Army serving two tours in the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion. Curly retired from Conoco where he was an operator for 25 years. He enjoyed making sausage and drinking beer with his “buddies”, fishing, and gardening. He will be remembered as a kind and loving man, and being true to his kind spirit he has donated his body to Tulane Medical for study and research.
Left to cherish his memory are his companion of 30 years, Anita Little of Sulphur; children Shane LeBlanc and wife Susan of Iowa, Wendy LeBlanc and companion Charlie Guzman of Lake Charles, Kim Hornsby and husband Steve of Lake Charles; stepchildren, Jason Freeman and wife Tonya, Cindy Vincent and husband Mike, Debbie Walsh and husband Joe, and Sherry Freeman all of Sulphur; brother, Dallas P. LeBlanc of Hackberry; sisters, Catherine “Tee Tee” Little and husband Lawrence “Butch” Little of Hackberry, and Kim Ann LeBlanc of Sulphur; sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandy Owens LeBlanc; son Randy LeBlanc; and parents, Dallas and Elaine LeBlanc.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 7pm, Wednesday, August 22nd in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Jody Barrilleaux will lead the celebration.
