Lou Ann "Granny" Haught

She was a native of New Iberia and had been a resident of Sulphur for many years before moving to Vidor, Texas. Lou Ann enjoyed square dancing, spending time with her family, and going to flea markets. She had also formerly owned Granny's Flea Market in Vinton.

Survivors include her five sons, Roland John Champagne, Jr. and wife, Nancy Brown Champagne of Vidor, Texas, Richard Wayne Champagne and wife, Carol of Clarksville, Tennessee, Robert Joseph Champagne and girlfriend, Judy Ann Smith of Long Island, New York, Ryan Marshall Champagne, Sr. and wife, Melinda of Vidor, Texas, and Randall James Champagne and wife, Paula of Orange, Texas; her siblings, Nola Migues and Floyd Desormeaux; sister-in-law, Audrey Desormeaux; twelve grandchildren; and twenty-one great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Haught; her parents, Sidney Desormeaux, Sr. and Ernestine Meaux Desormeaux; and siblings, Sidney Desormeaux Jr., Dalton Desormeaux, Charles Desormeaux, Joseph "Jay" Desormeaux Sr., Josephine Bertrand, and an infant sister.

A Celebration of Lou Ann's Life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 20, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home led by Jody Barrilleaux, Celebrant. Pallbearers will be Roland Champagne Jr, Ricky Champagne, Robert Champagne, Ryan Champagne Sr, Randy Champagne, Jeremy Champagne, and Ryan Champagne Jr. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss.
