Mabel Louise Trahan

She was a lifelong Sulphur resident, a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church and a life member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Mabel loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved dog "Bear". She enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Louis Trahan Sr.; and her parents Eddie Bourque Sr. and Georgette Bourque.

Survivors include her sons, Louis Trahan Jr. and wife Blondie and Rodney James Trahan and wife Jackie; daughters, Debbie Sonnier and husband Dennis, Becky Lyons and husband Bobby, and Wanda Naquin and husband James; sister, Anita Smith; and brother, Eddie Bourque Jr.; ten grandchildren, Brandi McAdams, Charmaine Fontenot, Marcus Trahan, Courtney Westerkamp, Derrick Trahan, Brett Trahan, Amanda Picard, Leslie Richard, Katelyn LeJeune, and Casey Naquin; great-grandchildren, Raelynn McAdams, Rayce McAdams, Brylon Fontenot, Grace Trahan, Reese Trahan, Kelsey Westerkamp, Gavin Westerkamp, Hallie Westerkamp, Adyson Trahan, Brock Trahan, Owen Trahan, Ava Trahan, Rhylee Trahan, Austin Guimbellot, Colby Snyder, Ethan Richard, Slayde LeJeune, Caileb Richard, and four more on the way.

Pallbearers are Marcus Trahan, Casey Naquin, Derrick Trahan, Brett Trahan, Austin Guimbellot, Brylon Fontenot, Colby Snyder and Caileb Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 pm Wednesday, December 10 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. The Rev. Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 10 am - 9pm with a Rosary at 6 pm and resume Wednesday at 9 am -1:30 pm in Hixson Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home.
