Michael W. Pate

Funeral services for Michael Wayne Pate will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Pentecostals of Mittie with the Reverends Greg Willis and Ricky Kennon officiating. Committal service will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery under guidance of White Oak Funeral Home, Oakdale.

Michael, 52, of Mittie, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 9, 2017 in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center of Lafayette. He was born on August 25, 1965 in Kinder to the union of Charles Pate and Mary Ruth Fontenot Pate. Michael was a 1986 graduate of Reeves High School, and was employed with Tiger Wells Service as a derrick hand, and also was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He is preceded in death by his parents Charles Ray Pate and Mary Ruth Fontenot Pate.

He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, wife, Agnes Gibson Pate of Mittie; two sons, Michael Brandon Pate and wife Ashley of Kinder, and Chad Pate of Reeves; one daughter, Brittany Ann Patrick and husband Ryan of Longville; two step-sons, Heath Topping and wife, Brittany of Ocala, Florida, and Jacob Topping and wife, Meghan of Mittie; two step-daughters, Kamie Cloud and husband, Devin of Mittie, and Kadie Topping and a companion Gene Harris of Oberlin; two sisters, Lisa Morvant and husband Johnathan of Moss Bluff, and Debra Ann Foreman and husband, Dennis of Houston Texas; twelve grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers to serve will be Josh Burnett, Jerry Fonenot, James Goode, Kabe Seal, Darrell Edwards, Jacob Topping, Sr. Honorary pallbearers to serve will be Eric Pitre and Devin Cloud.
