

Paul was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country in Vietnam. He owned and operated Big A Pawn for 10 years before his retirement in 2006. Paul formerly worked for family businesses, Augustine's Supermarket and Circle A Convenience Stores. He had a great sense of humor and adored his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered fondly for being the grandchildren's chauffeur.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, JoEllen Augustine Stone; son, Kip Stone and wife Brenda of Sulphur; two daughters, Kensie Tinker and husband Butch of Carlyss and Kurrie Richard and husband Ronnie of Sulphur; brother, Johnny Stone of Carlyss; sister, Barbara Newman of Sulphur; father and mother-in-law, Wilton and Betty Augustine of Sulphur; and nine grandchildren, Jordan Tinker, Barrett Tinker, Briggan Tinker, Daxton Tinker, Khloe Stone, Hayden Richard, Damian Stone, Gavin Richard and Kinley Stone.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Maw Bea Stone.
A Celebration of Paul's life will be Thursday, 6 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church of Sulphur. Pastor Shane McCoy will officiate. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 4 p.m. until time of service. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
