Robert Rendy Dowers, 55, of Sulphur, Louisiana, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1970 in Sulphur, Louisiana. Robert enjoyed fishing, listening to Randy Travis music, singing and dancing, writing poetry, and living life to the fullest. He truly loved to give to anyone in need.
He is survived by his fiance' Donnah Sims; father, Melvin J. Dowers (Jane) of Bell City, Louisiana; three children, Maegan Guidry (David) of Sulphur, Louisiana, Justin Dowers (Kayden) of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Kristina Dowers (fiance' Matt Johnson) of Platteville, Colorado; two sisters, Katherine Nicole Dowers Chesson (John) of Enid, Oklahoma, and Sophia Rae Dowers of Sulphur, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Carter Guidry, Lucus Guidry, Eleanor Dowers, and Kampbell Dowers; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Tina Marie Dowers; along with his mother, Charlotte Leleux.
A Celebration of Robert's life will be held at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 1:00 pm, with Hixson Celebrant Jody Tyler. Visitation will begin prior to the service on Tuesday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be at Royer Cemetery in Sulphur, Louisiana.
