Robert Hubert Richardson

Robert Hubert Richardson was born to Esther Rodriguez Richardson & Johnny Grover Richardson on March 14, 1930, in Boling, Texas. “Bobby” passed from this life at age 91, on August 26, 2021, at Pinecrest Center, Pineville, Louisiana.

Bobby will be remembered for the happy person he was, and the love he had for music. He lived in Sulphur with his mother Esther and his grandparents Fedora and Hubert Rodriguez until his grandfather died. The care that he needed required that he be legally declared a ward of the State of Louisiana. At that time he moved to Pinecrest Center in Pineville, La., where he lived peacefully and happily until his death.

Bobby was lovingly cared for at Pinecrest for almost 60 years. He loved to walk the Pinecrest grounds, play his radio and dance. He was a happy, gentle man, and he loved to dress nicely, clean and neat, and in cowboy shirts, jeans and his favorite cowboy hat and boots. He loved magazines with pictures of horses, and a harmonica was his favorite musical instrument.

Bobby is survived by his first cousin, C.A. Miller, Jr., and his wife Maureen, and their three children, Melissa (Scott) Greenwell, John (Rebecca) Miller, Mark (Jennifer) Miller and families.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home with visitation starting at 10 a.m. A private interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens where he will be laid to rest beside his mother.
