Rylla was born in Lake Charles on September 25, 1953 to Billy and Lovyne Smith. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her loved ones.
Rylla is preceded in death by her parents, Billy "Hot Shot" Smith and Lovyne Smith; and brother, M.C. Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Tonya Duran of Westlake; son, Brandon Hardesty of Sulphur; grandchildren, Braiden Hardesty, Kennedy (Caleb) Karg, Kameryn (Brant) Williamson and Remi Miller; great-grandchildren, Kover Miller, Hadlee Karg, Hudson Richard and River Miller; nephew, Cody Smith; friend, Amy Young and daughter, Dawson Young; and her fur baby of 13 years, Cruz.
Cremation has been entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 25, at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake. The Rev. Jenesh Joseph, HGN will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday in the church.
